Treatment
Preparation:

Get Your Home Ready for a General Pest Treatment:

 

1. To ensure safety, we kindly request that all residents or occupants remain indoors or away from the technician during pesticide application, unless instructed otherwise. Please keep your footwear on at all times during the service, including when entering or leaving the property, and for at least two hours after the service to contact with any wet pesticide.

2. Kindly let us know beforehand if there are any pets in your home ( Dogs, cats, fish, ponds etc) as they may need to leave during the service depending on the type of service provided.

Please cover all animal enclosures such as aquariums and cages with sheets or towels. We will inform you beforehand about the re-entry period.

3. Kindly let us know in advance if there are any newborns, infants, or children in the house. They will have to leave the premises for a specific duration, which will be communicated by The Bug Specialist before the service. This is to ensure a safe re-entry period for them.

4. Prior to the pest control service, please ensure that the area is cleaned and mopped the day before. If you plan to carry out any external window cleaning, kindly schedule it after the pest control service is completed. This is because external windows may be targeted during the service.

 

5. Kindly let us know in advance if there is anyone who is pregnant residing in the premises. This is because they will need to vacate the premises for a specific period of time, which will be communicated by The Bug Specialist before the service, regarding the re-entry period.

6. Prior to our arrival, ensure that all windows are closed and all clothing removed off the clothesline.

​

7. To ensure that our technician has access to all corners and areas of your house or business, we kindly request that you move the furniture slightly away from the walls. you for your cooperation. Make sure that all areas of the house, including the roof and subfloor have accessible and unobstructed entry.

8. Please ensure that there is no food on the kitchen bench tops.

​

Possum Control:

The cost of possum control service is determined by the hire of cages and cameras, as well as two visits for installation and collection after approximately 14 days, regardless of whether the possum is caught or not. The time period is flexible and subject to The Bug Specialist's discretion, based on the possum's behaviour and camera observations.

If a possum has left the roof and not returned within this time frame, The Bug Specialist cannot guarantee capture. However, the costs will remain the same as they based on the necessary requirements for the service. Thank you.

Rodent Control:

Make sure that all areas of the house, including the roof and subfloor have accessible and unobstructed entry. Please ensure roof space entry is not obstructed. 

Let us know in advance if there are any pets in your home, as they will need to be kept indoors while we install the rodent stations outside.
